REA director

Paul has dedicated more than 40 years to educating children. Before co-founding REA, Paul spent over 20 years as a teacher in primary and middle-school classrooms, providing him with significant insight into the learning process as well as its environment. Paul holds a master‘s degree in Education, and has completed post master’s coursework in the field of education. He was awarded recognition in Who‘s Who Among America’s Teachers, 2000. Paul and his late wife, Linda, created Rancho Encinitas Academy in 1995, a crystallization of their educational philosophy. As the REA Director, Paul is committed to perpetuating Linda’s dream of excellence in education.

REA Teachers

Rancho Encinitas Academy teachers have teaching credentials in general education and/or a master’s degree in education. As dedicated educators and life-long learners, our teachers keep themselves informed and up to date on research, knowledge, techniques, and advancements in the field.

Karey received her master’s degree in special education from National University, has earned three California teaching credentials, and has been working in the field of special education since 1992. She has taught in both public and private school classroom, served as a member of a curriculum writing team, is an ABA therapy provider, and has worked as special education program administrator. Karey is committed to providing the students at Edison Academy with the educational strategies and tools that they need to become successful students and confident individuals. Her philosophy of education is in line with Linda Wulle’s mission for Edison Academy – that academic success is within the grasp of every student.

Edison Teachers

Edison Academy teachers hold teaching credentials as educational specialists and/or a master’s degree in special education. In addition, our teachers have training and experience in planning and implementing effective research-based instruction in the areas of reading, writing, math, and core subjects. They are experienced in working with students who have learning disabilities, attention and processing challenges, as well as students who have anxiety and mild social difficulties that affect their confidence and ability to learn. Edison teachers are passionate about providing a learning environment in which students can thrive academically and socially.
