Our student community starts in the classroom, where small class sizes help students fit in faster and form safer friendships with their peers. This circle grows as students from two or more classes join for electives, field trips, and volunteer projects. And the community extends campus-wide through our frequent assemblies, special events, and family programs.
REA and Edison students at all grade levels also engage in the community beyond campus through volunteer projects and fundraising efforts. Our elementary classes maintain a plot at the Encinitas Community Garden. Our middle school students volunteer their time monthly at The Rancho Coastal Humane Society in Encinitas. And the entire student community supports efforts to help those in need in through fundraising and collecting donations to support homeless individuals.
